Looking to source or produce in New York? Are you a designer or in the beginning stages of product development and need to find a sample maker? Or, simply just looking for a good trim and hardware supplier?
If so, then mark your calendar for the First Annual City Source Expo hosted by FIT and the Garment Industry Development Corporation.
When: Tuesday, January 10
10am to 5pm
Where: Fashion Institute of Technology
The Great Hall - Enter on 28th Street (between 7th and 8th)
This free expo will put you in contact with New York-based companies specializing in accessories, sportswear, knits and offering services such as pleating, sample and pattern making and grading. Over 50 companies will be in attendance to take orders and answer questions at this one-day expo that will show you just how important these local resources are to making the New York fashion industry thrive.
“We want to provide designers and retailers with the opportunity to meet New York City manufacturers and service providers so that they know what they could have done locally.” said Christine Helm, coordinator of the Enterprise Center at FIT
