What began as a photo diary of her impeccably styled looks based on her love of vintage clothes and extreme shoes, Sea of Shoes has become a brand bursting with forward editorial photography and lifestyle content since it launched in 2007. Over the past decade, Jane has partnered with Barneys, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Veuve Clicquot, Tory Burch, and Stuart Weitzman among many others. She also spearheads a comfort food and artisanal cocktail blog named Thyme & Temp with her husband, Jeff. The two live in Dallas, where Jane often collaborates with her mother, Judy Aldridge, who runs the popular home interiors blog, Atlantis Home.

The Simply Luxurious Life

Mission Statement

THE SIMPLY LUXURIOUS LIFE IS SOMETHING THAT I BELIEVE EVERY ONE OF US CAN ATTAIN IF INDEED WE ARE SEEKING QUALITY RATHER THAN QUANTITY, SENSIBILITY RATHER THAN FRIVOLITY, PERSONAL STYLE INSTEAD OF TRENDY FASHIONS AND A TRULY FULFILLING LIFE INSTEAD OF BEING LED AROUND BY THE NOSE; THEREBY, CREATING A LIFE OF TRUE CONTENTMENT.

Whitley Adkins

MEET WHITLEY

Wardrobe Stylist + Fashion Contributor + Style Editor

Whitley spent her childhood in the idyllic surroundings of Asheville, North Carolina. Both her Grandmother and Great-Grandmother worked as buyers for an upscale luxury boutique in Eastern North Carolina. This early exposure to personal style and high fashion led her towards her work as a stylist and the creation of her blog, the Queen City Style. Whitley believes it is because of this exposure and DNA inheritance that she has always possessed an innate connection to all things fashion and style.

In 2019 Whitley assumed the role as Style Editor for Southpark Magazine. In March 2020, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Whitley established the industry- wide coalition, Fashion Forward, to support and preserve the retail fashion sector in Charlotte, NC.
